Responsibilities

Research and Data Collection: Independently maintain ongoing attention to African political and economic affairs. Gather data from various sources, including government reports, academic studies, and stakeholder input.

Policy Evaluation and Trend Analysis: Analyze the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of policies. Provides timely and professional comprehensive analysis of the dynamic of African affairs. Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in relevant policy areas.

Global Collaboration and Client-Centric Solutions: Collaborate with colleagues and clients from a wide range of business areas around the world. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions. Respond with precision to client consulting requirements, leveraging insightful analysis to drive impactful outcomes.

Report Writing and Presentation: Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured reports, briefs, and presentations for decision-makers. Communicate complex policy issues and recommendations to non-expert audiences.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in politics-related major, preferably related to public policy, international relations and/or journalism, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0; advanced degrees will be a plus.

At least 2 years of work experience and a passion for advising government and/or state-owned enterprises and/or international development agencies, government work experience will be a plus.

Knowledge and experience in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) will be an advantage.

Solid research and strong analytical, problem-solving skills.

Focus on execution and demonstrate the ability to get work done in a timely manner.

Ability to work across different disciplines, meet new challenges, and develop an in-depth understanding of different industries.
