About Arken Digital

Arken Digital is a Bristol-based SEO agency working with clients across the UK. We are a small but growing team of specialists in SEO, content, outreach, and web development. We work with around 18 active clients and have ambitious plans to scale significantly over the next two years.

We build our own internal tools and take a systems-first approach to delivery. This is not a traditional agency running on spreadsheets and email threads. We use ClickUp for project management and have built custom reporting and outreach platforms that we use daily.

The Opportunity

This role starts as a Delivery Manager and grows into a full Operations Manager as you develop your understanding of the business and prove yourself in the role. We are not looking for someone to come in, learn the ropes, and then plateau. We are looking for someone who wants to eventually own the operational running of the agency entirely.

In the early months your focus will be on delivery: making sure the team is hitting deadlines, clients are being kept informed, and nothing is falling through the cracks. Over time you will take on broader responsibility across team management, financial oversight, client success, systems, and hiring. A separate growth plan document will be shared with the person we hire so the trajectory is clear from day one.

You will sit alongside the founder and have genuine authority over the team. You will not be a glorified VA or a task-tracker. You will be the person who ensures the business runs smoothly, and over time you will become the person the business cannot function without.

What You Will Own From Day One

  • Own ClickUp across the entire team, making sure every client has clear tasks, owners, and deadlines at all times
  • Proactively identify things falling behind before they become a problem, and chase the team without being asked
  • Run a weekly team accountability rhythm to keep everyone aligned and on track
  • Send client updates via email when work is completed, deadlines are approaching, or anything needs flagging
  • Keep the founder focused on the right priorities and hold them accountable to their own goals
  • Spot inefficiencies in how we work and suggest improvements, you do not need to know SEO to see that a process is broken

What You Will Grow Into

  • Monitoring client results at a high level, flagging accounts that are underperforming, and working with the SEO team to understand why and what the plan is
  • Tracking client profitability and flagging where we are over-servicing
  • Overseeing invoicing, revenue tracking, and working alongside the bookkeeper to keep finances healthy
  • Involvement in hiring decisions, onboarding new team members, and managing freelancers
  • Owning the systems and tooling that run the business and ensuring the team is using them correctly
  • Producing regular reporting on the health of the business for the founder
  • Input into pricing, capacity planning, and growth decisions as the agency scales

What We Are Looking For

  • Background in project management, operations, or account management within an agency or professional services environment
  • Naturally proactive, you spot problems before being told and act without waiting to be asked
  • Excellent written English, confident communicating with clients and team members professionally
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple moving parts simultaneously
  • Ambitious and growth-minded, you want more responsibility over time and have the capability to handle it
  • Comfortable with digital tools, you do not need to be technical but you need to get up to speed quickly
  • SEO knowledge is not required and not expected
