Posted November 15, 2021

About us:

At RevenueCat, we make selling subscriptions in your mobile app easy. We launched as part of Y Combinator's summer 2018 batch and today are handling subscriptions for more than 10 million mobile subscriptions across thousands of apps.

We are a mission driven, remote-first company that is building the foundation of mobile subscription infrastructure. Top apps like VSCO, Notion, and ClassDojo count on RevenueCat to power their subscriptions at scale.

Our 30 team members (and growing!) are located all over the world, from San Francisco to Madrid to Taipei, and we're proud to be a remote-first company. We're a close-knit, product-driven team, and we love our core values: Always be Shipping, Own it, Be Customer-Obsessed, and Be Balanced.

As the Business Operations Associate, you'll report to the Head of Finance & Business Operations to help the company make better, smarter, faster decisions. In this role, you'll be analyzing challenges from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint in order to create and operationalize business strategy. You will also get to own key business tasks, such as payments oversight and compliance and will have the opportunity to develop more structure around policies and processes that will have broad impact.

About you:
  • You have 3+ years of experience working in consulting, finance, or in an operations role at a venture-backed startup.
  • You are analytical, with experience building models based on limited information.
  • You thrive in an ambiguous environment and love creating structure amid chaos.
  • You are extremely organized and detail oriented and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You love problem solving and are always looking for better, more efficient ways of doing things.
  • You enjoy learning how something is currently being done and finding a better way of doing it.
  • You have a positive attitude and believe that no task is too small.
In the first month, you'll:
  • Get a foundational understanding of our current systems and processes
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance & BizOps to prioritize operational tasks
Within the first 3 months, you'll:
  • Take ownership over payroll and will assess our current systems
  • Help us fully transition to a 'remote' headquarters
  • Make a recommendation and plan to operationalize an updated expense policy and the corresponding systems to support your recommendation
Within the first 6 months, you'll:
  • Help establish, communication, and execute a new goal setting structure
  • In partnership with the Head of Finance & BizOps and the Head of People, plan offsite
  • Own and establish a process around corporate presence (i.e. ensuring we continue to be in compliance with each state and country that we hire and do business in)
Within the first 12 months, you'll:
  • Analyze key areas within the business to determine functional areas to continue to outsource vs. bring in house
  • Help establish, communication, and execute a new goal setting structure
  • Conduct analyses on feasibility of opening subsidiaries abroad and the implications of various options
What we offer:
  • $116,560- $131,440 USD + competitive equity across all geographies
  • Employee health, vision, and dental plans (for US-based workers)
  • Unlimited vacation, remote work, and WFH
  • A balance-focused, long-term oriented work environment
