We're looking for an awesome Sales Development Representative to join Better Proposals to supercharge our growing sales team.
The Role:
Better Proposals goal is to become the world s preferred proposal platform for the SME market and go to sales enablement tool for the Enterprise market. As the first hire within the SDR team, you ll lead the way as a dynamic and adaptable individual who is passionate about hunting new business and introducing our product with the intention of helping companies to grow and drive revenue. The sales team is a collection of adaptable sales-driven professionals who have high standards of performance, who want to win and be part of a winning team. We re now looking for someone who can overachieve in this SDR role, with a monthly meeting quota responsibility.
A day in the life of a Better Proposals developer
On any given day you will:
Book outbound meetings through a combination of cold calls, emails, social outreach, networking and independent research
Engage with prospects (C-suite/Directors) and articulate the product in an effective manner
Conduct discovery with prospects to evaluate pain points
Deliver relevant marketing content to prospects
Establish trusting relationships with key stakeholders
Generate and manage sales pipeline; maintain impeccable admin and update all activity in Hubspot
Lead efforts in building sustainable processes and procedures
Work in conjunction with AE s to convert opportunities created into sales qualified leads
Manage assigned inbound leads, using correct practices
Ensure a proactive approach to learning
Maintain a positive mind-set irrespective of any challenging situations
Continue to create opportunities for new business
Requirements
Available for calls during core business hours Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm in your region with flexibility to accommodate different time zones when needed
Your email writing will be clear, concise and well formatted
You will speak clearly, ask questions, be friendly and take a problem solving approach to sales situations.
Understand customer pain points and establish how Better Proposals might be a fit
Evidence of overachievement
Sales Experience preferred but not essential
Ability to articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, proactive, flexible
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Emotional intelligence
A can-do, agile attitude necessary to thrive in a scale-up environment
Use initiative when challenged
Good time-management
A passion for sales
Have a decent internet connection and able to make calls during office hours
Be comfortable with business software like Intercom, Zoom, G-Suite, Calendly, HubSpot (not essential as they re easy to learn).

$55,000 OTE
