Position Overview
The Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in expanding AssuredBID s client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients, and contributing to the overall growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with experience in health and social care services or tender writing environments being a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the health and social care sector who would benefit from AssuredBID s tender writing services.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate leads and secure new business.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers within healthcare organisations, social care providers, and other related sectors.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
  • Work closely with the tender writing team to ensure that client needs and expectations are clearly understood and met.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, showcasing AssuredBID s capabilities and unique value proposition.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients.
  • Track and report on business development activities and sales performance using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing materials and content that support business development efforts.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness and establish new business relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, sales, or client relationship management, ideally within the health and social care sector or tender writing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the tender process, particularly in public sector contracts, is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and securing sales.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales/marketing tools.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field (preferred but not required).
